About WARWM

Global Leadership in Workplace Mobbing Research

The World Association for Research on Workplace Mobbing (WARWM) is an international nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing research, education, and collaboration on workplace mobbing. Through global scholarship, conferences, and publications such as the Journal of Workplace Mobbing, WARWM connects researchers and practitioners to promote healthier workplaces, accountability, and meaningful change worldwide. We bring together researchers, scholars, and professionals from various disciplines across the world.

Our Mission

WARWM is dedicated to advancing rigorous interdisciplinary research on workplace mobbing, including severe forms of bullying, retaliation, and psychological harm in professional environments. WARWM promotes scholarly collaboration, education, and evidence-based dialogue to support healthier workplaces, strengthen institutional accountability, and improve responses to workplace psychological violence worldwide.

Our Vision

WARWM envisions a global academic and professional community in which workplace mobbing is recognized, systematically studied, and effectively addressed through research-informed policies and practices. We strive toward a future where dignity, psychological safety, and justice are fundamental principles across workplaces, and where research contributes directly to prevention, intervention, and meaningful cultural change.

History & Founding

The World Association for Research on Workplace Mobbing (WARWM) was founded in 2025 by Qingli Meng, Kenneth Westhues, and Richard Peltz-Steele, whose informal virtual meeting in 2023 led to the vision of a seminar which developed into the annual conference devoted to the study of workplace mobbing.

WARWM's mission is to advance workplace mobbing research and facilitate the exchange of scholarly information among members of academia, industry, and government worldwide. One of the key functions of WARWM is to facilitate the growth and advancement of the field of workplace mobbing research. WARWM hosts and supports conferences, seminars, as well as reviews and publishes scholarly research publications.
